Kick-off Transnational Meeting of the European Project “C-CYCLE”

The kick-off transnational partners’ meeting of the European project Collaboration on Cultural Yielding through Coaching and Learning Evolution (C-CYCLE) was successfully held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

C-CYCLE is a transnational project focusing on vocational education and training in the field of culture, for the human resources of Local Authorities and local cultural organizations. At the same time, it aims to enhance participation and access to creativity hubs of municipalities with particular geographical or other characteristics, as well as their local stakeholders engaged in cultural management.

The project seeks to highlight local cultural heritage, educational needs, inclusion, social integration, and the well-being of individuals belonging to socially vulnerable groups. This is pursued through access to useful educational tools for artistic expression and creativity, and by promoting the participation of individuals or groups at risk of social exclusion in artistic activities.

The project has a duration of twenty-four (24) months and will be completed in January 2027.

The program partners are:

  • The Hellenic Agency for Local Development and Local Government (E.E.T.A.A. S.A.) – Greece, the Project Coordinator,
  • The Hague Academy for Local Governance (THA) – Netherlands, and
  • The Agency for the Promotion of Atlantic Culture (Agência de Promoção da Cultura Atlântica – APCA) – Portugal.

The project is implemented under the framework of Erasmus+ 2021–2027 Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training (VET), with the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) as the granting authority and National Agency of Erasmus+ 2021–2027.

Supporting the implementation of C-CYCLE are the associated partners of the three (3) transnational organizations:

  • Greece: the Creative Europe Desk of the Ministry of Culture’s Directorate of International Relations and the European Union, and the Regions of Attica and Central Greece,
  • Netherlands: the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG),
  • Portugal: the University of Madeira and the Conservatorio – Professional School of the Arts of Madeira.

The activities and results of C-CYCLE will be publicized through social media and the project’s official website (to be launched soon). In addition, an interactive cultural calendar and the project’s periodic Newsletter will have information about all developments in the areas where activities will take place.

The Kick-off Meeting was attended by representatives of the three (3) transnational project partners.

In his brief address, the CEO of EETAA, Mr. Anastasios Mavridis, highlighted the particular importance of cooperation partnerships for the promotion of local cultural development, especially in remote areas, and the need for the continuous improvement of the skills of local cultural staff.
